Music video – The Mikado!

A neatly timed pun from the coy Josef, we present another Millennium music video – this week we have our own Avatar to challenge Mr Cameron’s film, yes, I speak of the Zodiac inspired killer from the rather super excellent Perry scribed season two episode The Mikado.

So sit back and enjoy another slice of visual Millennium courtesy of Josef and BacktoFrankBlack!

Watch out for a BacktoFrankBlack audio update coming up later this week!

  1. I hope you guys will like this one.I honestly didn't do a lot of editing. After I had put all the Avatar computer stuff in order and snippet around that. I found out it worked just like that, so I only needed to add the final scene. But obviously I had to edit it down for time. For some reason, the audio went down in that clip of Frank speaking, maybe Avatar found its way to Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.7 *gulp*And I contemplated using this song for a season 1 episode a while back, but never tried it out after listening to it.But worked like a charm here.Cheers from Iceland!- Jósef

  3. Well I drop by and what do I find? One hell of a great video for one hell of a great episode. Now I can gush, ad infinitum, about the merits of this episode and why Michael R Perry evidently pre-dated the so called gorno-genre by a decade but I feel I've done that death already. I think everyone knows I am a card, carry Mikado fan.I happen to think this is the best video yet. I was firmly of the opinion that the the tributes to Lucy and Lara could not be beaten but I will take back that opinion.I have ventured into video montage making once and once only and the results were poor so I marvel at how well people like Josef pull these together, so quickly and with such aplomb. It's nice to be a fanboy for a change and see things from the other side of the fence. A nice treat methinks.

  5. The Mikado is one of my all time favourite Millennium episodes, with a storyline which was another example proving the show was ahead of it's time.I've said before Josef that you had excelled yourself with your Millennium music videos. Well I think this time you've excelled what you've excelled with before. This was great stuff. I've heard another song I've never heard before. It well so well with the clips you used from The Mikado, and along with the images used (the eye one which reminded me of Hitchcock) and the voiceover at the beginning, done in a fresh way, made this one of my Top 5 favourites so far.Well done Josef!
