Michael R. Perry speaks to B2FB about “The River” – premièring tonight!

Michael R. Perry, writer of such Millennium classics as “Omerta” and “The Mikado” has the premiere of his latest project, “The River” which he shares the prestigious position of creator along side Paranormal Activity director, Oren Peli. The River is a quest to find a missing TV explorer in the Amazon starring Bruce Greenward, Joe Anderson and Leslie Hope.

The show premières tonight 9/8c on ABC – Michael has been in contact with Back to Frank Black, and has this to say to all Millennium fans out there:

“We’re very excited for tonight’s première of “The River.”  It’s the first time since Millennium that I’ve worked on a series that looks like nothing else on television — that tries to blaze new ground in the land of shows about doctors, cops and lawyers.

The support & kindness from you & other Millennium fans has been a beacon and a source of encouragement that there is an intelligent & discerning audience who values new, different and unusual programs on television.”

Sounds both exciting and well worth watching and a show that might very well appeal to readers of Back to Frank Black. Don’t forget to tune in tonight!

  1. I’ve been looking forward to this series for a long time now, so here’s to every success on its premiere tonight, and hopefully an airing in the UK soon! Michael’s comments in terms of the series marking “the first time since Millennium that I’ve worked on a series that looks like nothing else on television” only heightens that sense of expectation yet further.

Best of luck with it, Michael, and I’m sure there will be many Millennium fans tuning in given that The River boasts your talent as its co-creator!

  2. Pilot was pretty fun, this has lots of potential and Glen Morgan (co-executive producer) is involved so that’s great news.
All the best Michael, love your work and I’m sure this will evolve into something special too.
